My Recommended Soil Mix for Succulents & Cacti
The right soil mix is the foundation of healthy succulents and cacti.
A well-balanced blend not only supports strong root development but also minimizes common problems such as rot.
My go to mix is a 1:2 ratio of Kanuma to Pumice, with a particle size of 1–3mm. This combination ensures superior drainage, excellent aeration, and a stable medium for root growth.
To further enhance protection, diatomaceous earth is added to discourage some common pests from breeding within the soil.
